Lot's of Fibery Goodness!!

Fibery topic number one, I added some new Wensleydale locks to my shop this week. They're super nice locks, averaging 6-7" they are soft and glossy and have a wonderful crimp and nice tight lock formation. You'll find them perfect for lock spinning and also beautiful for felting.

Some of the new locks dyed in my new Waterfall color palette, frankly these locks are pretty enough as they are, dyed or natural, if you're a wool lover like me, it's enough to handle and admire them, you don't need to do a thing with them! I have a feeling these wont be around long! I'm hoping for some more nice weather so I can scour the rest of the fleece!

Fibery topic number two, I'm so super excited, I got my first Phat Fiber box! This is my contributors box, I had tried to buy one last month, but I was too slow to snag one!!! There are tons of beautiful samples in this months box, I was so happy to see a lot of the samples I had my eye on in the Ravelry group thread, made it into my box! So much fibery goodness!!! If you want to check out the rest of the contributors, pop over to the ravelry group or you can find them here at the web site, plus Jessie is always having awesome giveaways here at the Phat Fiber blog, check them out, you wont be disappointed!

Have a wonderful weekend! Blessings Friends!
Melissa

  1. Your locks are GORGEOUS! They would be perfect accent pieces in a felting project.

Your box is beautiful too. I keep meaning to contribute but...not enough hours in the day. Enjoy all the goodies.

    Happy Fiber Arts Friday!

  2. Melissa--Your locks are gorgeous!!
I'm surprised by how much I like the blue/purple ones, since I'm usually 'not much' for these colors. I think the shine and the gradation of color really make them special!! XXO-

I'm also not entirely sure what the Phat Fiber boxes are all about. Will check out the link.

  10. The locks are beautiful! I've spun some wensleydale, but from top, not from locks.

And I have been eyeing those Phat Fiber Boxes, but have yet to get one (although I haven't really tried). I really love the concept - very creative.
